~You’re allowed to move at your own pace~

In this season of life, having a gentle weekly rhythm helps our family stay grounded, connected, and intentional. While every day brings its own surprises, having a flexible structure gives us peace and purpose. Here’s a look at what our typical week looks like:

Every day, we set aside intentional time with God as a family—sometimes in the morning, other times right before bed. On weekdays, our routine includes school drop-off in the morning and pick-up in the afternoon. In the evening, after dinner and family time, my husband and I spend 20 minutes together doing a quick clean-up. This nightly reset includes washing the dishes, tidying up clutter, and sweeping or vacuuming the floors. It helps us keep our home calm and organized. After that, we follow the kids’ bedtime routine and then take some quiet time to unwind before going to bed ourselves.

Sunday: Rest & Reset

  • Church
  • Family activity (a walk, game night, or outing)
  • Plan the weekly menu
  • Reset the house for the week ahead

Sunday is our anchor — a day for faith, family, and preparing our hearts and home for the week.

Monday: Fresh Start

  • Catch up on laundry
  • Grocery order + pickup
  • Start weekly themed activity with my 3-year-old (What are we learning about/exploring this week)

Monday is about setting the tone for the week — getting organized and carving out meaningful time with both God and my little one.

Tuesday: Slow & Steady

  • Slow down the pace
  • Continue weekly theme with my 3-year-old
  • Dance class for my 5-year-old

We try to keep Tuesdays light and calm. It’s a day for moving slowly and being present.

Wednesday: Midweek Connection

  • Community Bible Study
  • Picnic with my 3-year-old (weather permitting!)
  • Family connection night (board games, movie, or just hanging out)

Wednesdays are for spiritual growth and family fun — a perfect midweek reset.

Thursday: Keep It Simple

  • Slow day at home
  • Continue the weekly theme with my 3-year-old

Another quiet day that lets us lean into routine, rest, and creativity.

Friday: Fun & Outings

  • Doctor’s appointment (if needed)
  • Local library trip (Check your local city or county website to find one near you!)
  • Park time
  • Friday Funday! (Something special — a treat, craft, or playdate)

Friday is when we love to explore, laugh, and enjoy something out of the ordinary.

Saturday: Family & Friends

  • Time with friends or extended family
  • Family activity at home or a fun outing

Saturdays are for connection — no strict plans, just time together wherever that leads us.

Final Thoughts

This rhythm isn’t rigid — it’s more like a guidepost to help us move through the week with intention. Some days are messy, others feel smooth, but having this outline helps us prioritize what matters most: faith, family, and connection.
